Mahindra has hit the ground running with the XEV 9e and BE 6 and has managed to dispatch 1837 units of both their new electric SUVs within two months of prices being announced. It has produced 2281 units of both vehicles and is expected to ramp up production in the coming months.
The Indian automaker went for a top-down approach with the cars announcing the prices of the top-spec models before revealing the prices of the lower-spec variants. Bookings will officially open on 14 February and deliveries will start in March and depending on the variant carry on till August.

Revealed on 26 November 2024, the XEV 9e and BE 6 are Mahindra’s first-ever Born electric vehicles and are the first in a line of cars that will eventually include an electric Thar, electric Bolero and Scorpio. We have driven both SUVs and you can check out our reviews below.
The range is priced at Rs. 18.90 lakh for the BE 6 and Rs. 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the BE 6 and XEV 9e respectively, bookings for both models are set to begin on 14 February. Both cars are offered with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, with a claimed range of up to 550km on a single charge.
