Mahindra KUV100 crosses a new milestone with over 50,000 unit sales

Mahindra launched the KUV100 way back in January 2016 and in just 15 months, has reportedly crossed a sales milestone of 50,000 units. To be precise, Mahindra has sold 50,288 units till date. Available in flexi six-seat and five-seat options, the KUV100, presented as the young SUV by Mahindra has emerged decently in the Indian market.

Mahindra KUV100 offers personalisation options to potential customers who can customise the vehicle with four accessory kits based on sporty and premium themes. The vehicle is available in petrol as well as diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by 1.2-litre 3-cylinder mFalcon G80 engine that generates 82bhp of power and 114Nm of torque. While, the diesel trim gets a 1.2-turbocharged 3-cylinder mFalcon D75 engine which generates 77bhp of power and 190Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission.

Speaking about the sales milestone, Rajan Wadhera, President, Automotive Sector, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. said, “We would like to thank our customers for their support in achieving this milestone for the KUV100. The KUV100 has created an all-new SUV segment in the price range of Rs. 4.5 to 7 lakhs. It combines the appeal of an SUV and the practicality of a compact car, making it a compelling value proposition for buyers. The recent introduction of the new look dual tone KUV100 has also resonated well with our customers and going forward, I am sure that the KUV100 will continue to scale new heights.”

Late in January this year, Mahindra introduced the anniversary edition KUV100 in the top-end K8 six-seater variant at an additional price of Rs 13,000. The trim was offered in two dual tone exterior colour options – flamboyant red or a dazzling silver body topped with metallic black roof and pillars along with bigger 15-inch wheels. As for the interior, it received a sporty black and premium theme with a new upholstery design.
