Mahindra & Mahindra has announced plans to set up its largest integrated automobile and tractor manufacturing facility in Maharashtra.
The new plant will come up in Nagpur, and will be spread across 1,500 acres. Once fully operational, the facility is expected to have an annual production capacity of over five lakh vehicles and one lakh tractors, making it the company’s biggest integrated manufacturing hub in India.

The Nagpur facility will support Mahindra’s next-generation vehicle platforms, including the NU_IQ architecture, and it will be capable of producing internal combustion engine (ICE), electric, and future powertrain technologies for both domestic and export markets.
Mahindra highlighted Vidarbha’s improving infrastructure, including connectivity through Samruddhi Mahamarg, rail links, and access to major markets as key reasons behind the location choice. Production at the new plant is targeted to begin in 2028.
