Carens Clavis Unveiled

Kia has officially revealed the Carens Clavis for the Indian market. The model, which will be sold alongside the standard Carens, gets multiple changes inside and out. Bookings will commence at midnight on 9 May for a token of Rs. 25,000.

In terms of design, the new Carens Clavis features fresh LED DRLs and three-pod headlamps, fresh front and rear bumpers, tweaked skid plates in a contrast finish, star map LED tail lights, connected light bar on the tailgate, 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with dual-tone finish, new roof rails, and a shark-fin antenna. Colour options include Pewter Olive, Gravity Gray, Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Clear White, Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, and Ivory Silver Gloss.

Inside, the 2025 Kia Carens Clavis boasts a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS suite, ventilated front seats, four-way powered driver’s seat, Bose-sourced eight-speaker music system, new console for AC controls, new two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and dual screens on the dashboard. The safety suite includes disc brakes at the front and rear ends, six airbags, ESC, HAC, VSM, DBC, ABS, and BAS.

Powertrain options on the Carens Clavis include the familiar 1.5-litre Smartstream NA petrol, 1.5-litre T-GDi turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre CRDi VGT units. There are multiple transmissions to choose from – six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic, iMT, and seven-speed DCT gearboxes. Customers can choose from seven variants, namely HTE, HTE(O), HTK, HTK+, HTK+(O), HTX, and HTX+.
