EV2 Revealed
The Kia Syros EV has been revealed! Kidding…well sort of. The South Korean automaker has taken the wraps off its smallest-ever EV, the EV2. It is a concept car with a production ready version confirmed for 2026.

Design Highlights
Exterior design highlights certainly hint at an electric Syros, thanks to the stance of the car, the dual barrel design of the head lamps, and of course the profile of the vehicle. It has (relatively) large wheels, with black cladding and large suicide doors. The tail lamps are like spear heads sitting at the edges of the body, while the bumpers are minimalistic, and in contrast to the body colour.

The interior is a maroon and blue affair, built around a theme of minimalism. The dashboard is dominated by dual digital displays and a two-spoke steering wheel, while the rear seat is a bench, with what appears to be a significant lean angle. The photos don’t reveal any features, but it will get whatever the ICE Syros already has in its arsenal.

Tech Specs
Some quarters have hinted at the EV2 getting Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, along with battery pack options from the EV3. This hints at a range of around 450kms and FWD motors producing up to 200bhp. It is expected to get a whole host of tech like Level 2 ADAS, V2X, V2L, and connected car systems.

Syros EV?
The colours, design, and interiors all hint at this being a foundation for the Syros EV, an inevitable step considering Kia’s EV plans for India. We will get a better picture of the same when it comes out in its production guise later this year. If this does become the Syros EV, then it will be manufactured in India at Kia’s Anantapur plant, catering to domestic as well as global demand.
