- To follow Carens facelift
- Both cars to adopt a new nameplate
Kia India continues testing the EV derivative of the Carens, fresh spy shots of which have made their way to the web. The company will also introduce a facelift of the Carens, albeit with a new nameplate.

As seen in the spy pictures here, the new Carens EV was spotted at an EV charging station. The test mule, although heavily camouflaged and partially covered, reveals a charging port on the fascia, fresh set of dual-tone alloy wheels, and an ADAS sensor on the lower section of the fascia.

Elsewhere, the Kia Carens EV is expected to get an all-new front design, heavily reworked posterior, familiar side profile, revised centre console, new upholstery, and fresh updates in the form of a steering wheel and gear lever.

While Kia has remained tight-lipped on the technical specifications of the upcoming Carens EV, the model is expected to source its powertrain from the recently launched Creta EV. This means that the model could get a single electric motor paired with a battery pack, returning a range of up to 473km on a full charge.
