Kia India launched the new Carens Clavis EV in the country, with prices starting at Rs. 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The automaker is expected to commence deliveries of its first locally produced electric offering in the coming days.

The 2025 Carens Clavis EV will be available in six colours – Ivory Silver Matte, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, and Gravity Grey. There are four variants on offer, namely HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER. We will be driving the Carens Clavis EV soon, and our review will be live at 1pm on 22 July.

The Kia Carens Clavis EV comes with two battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The standard and extended range versions return an ARAI-certified range of 404km and 490km on a single charge, respectively. Additionally, it offers V2L technology, front charging port with illumination, and paddle shifters for the i-pedal function and regenerative braking.

On the features front, the electric derivative of the Carens Clavis comes equipped with all-LED lighting, active air flaps, 17-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, four-way powered driver's seat, UV-cut glass, ambient lighting, Level 2 ADAS suite, six airbags, and dual 12.25-inch screens on the dashboard.
