- Prices start at Rs. 17.99 lakh
- Claimed range of 490km on a single charge
Kia introduced the new Carens Clavis EV in India in July this year, with prices starting at Rs. 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric seven-seat MPV is available across six variants and six colour options, details of which you can see on our website.

The 2025 Carens Clavis EV is offered with two battery pack options – 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The latter, which is the one we tested, is tuned to develop 169bhp and 255Nm, powering only the front wheels. Kia claims that this offering will return a range of 490km on a single charge.
We tested the top-spec HTX+ ER variant of the Kia Carens Clavis EV. As per the CarWale protocols, the AC temperature was set to 24 degrees, while the fan speed was set to 1. The drive mode and regen levels were set to normal and Level 1, respectively.

With these factors considered, the Clavis EV returned a range of 372km on a single charge. This resulted in a real-world accuracy of 75.9 per cent of the company’s 490km claim. We have driven the Clavis EV, and you can read our detailed review on the website.
