- Likely to get similar cosmetic treatment as the Compass Track Edition
- Expected to be launched in the coming weeks
Jeep India has teased yet another special edition of its SUV lineup, this time previewing the upcoming Meridian Track Edition. The model is expected to be launched in the coming weeks and will be positioned alongside the standard variants and the existing Trail Edition.
Jeep had previously introduced a Track Edition for the Compass, and the Meridian is likely to receive a similar cosmetic treatment. Expected updates could include a bonnet decal, piano black inserts on the grille and exterior elements, special edition badging, and possibly a revised finish for the 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin may feature new upholstery themes, contrast accents, and edition-specific detailing to differentiate it from the regular trims.
Mechanically, no changes are anticipated. The Meridian Track Edition will continue with the familiar 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 168bhp and 350Nm of torque. The powertrain is offered with both 4x2 and 4x4 configurations, paired with a six-speed manual or a nine-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Once launched, the Meridian Track Edition will compete with SUVs such as the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, MG Majestor, Toyota Fortuner, and Skoda Kodiaq in the three-row SUV segment.
