- Two top-spec variants get the sliding second row
- Powered by a 2.0L diesel motor
The Jeep Meridian, a potent off-roader, has received a minor yet substantial internal update. The SUV now gets a sliding second row in its two top-of-the-line variants – Limited (O) and Overland.

We’ve had a gripe with the Meridian’s headroom and legroom, and while the status quo remains the same for the former, the legroom quotient is enhanced by this update that enables the second row to slide back and forth by 14cm. Vanities include wicker beige interiors, 12-way powered driver seat with memory, 360-degree camera, powered tailgate with memory, and nine-speaker Alpine audio. The Overland variant gets a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ADAS, 12-way powered front seats with lumbar support and memory function for the driver, and a Jeep 4x4 system.
Under the hood, the Jeep Meridian has a 2.0L, four-cylinder diesel motor that churns out 186bhp/350Nm, and the SUV accelerates from 0-100kmph in 10.8s (claimed). Available for a base ex-showroom tag of Rs. 23.33 lakh, prospective buyers can opt for 2WD and 4WD configurations.
