- Facelift brings revised styling
- India-spec Meridian could receive similar updates in coming months
Jeep has revealed the facelifted version of its seven-seater SUV for the Brazilian market. It’s the 2026 Commander which closely mirrors India’s Meridian.

The refreshed styling includes thicker headlamps, a revised seven-slat grille with LED DRLs now positioned in the bumper, reworked front bumper and fog-lamp cluster, new alloy wheel designs, and, on higher trims, connected tail-lamps with dual exhaust pipes.
Inside, the layout remains largely unchanged. The five-seat option has been discontinued in Brazil. The updates are limited to upholstery revisions and the inclusion of a rotary gear selector in top-tier versions. Notably, features like the Level 2 ADAS system and 360-degree camera still feature as before.

Under the hood, the 2026 Commander retains the same trio of engine options. A 1.3-litre turbocharged flex-fuel unit, a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, and a 2.2-litre diesel. The 1.3-litre flex-fuel version is paired with front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic gearbox, while the more powerful petrol and diesel variants come with all-wheel drive and a nine-speed automatic.
While India’s Meridian received a mild update late last year, including a five-seater variant and Trail Edition, the Commander’s facelift suggests only subtle changes for the Indian model as well.
