Is this the production-ready Mahindra Vision S, aka the next-gen Scorpio SUV? In an Instagram post by Mahindra’s chief design and creative officer, Pratap Bose, he revealed a sketch that hinted at the upcoming SUV’s final design.
The image showcases a boxy design with diamond-cut alloy wheels, pop-out door handles, and blacked-out pillars, creating a floating roof effect. Also visible are side steps and a spare wheel mounted on the rear, indicative of a rear door.
The report also indicates that a sub-compact model and next-gen compact models will carry the Scorpio nameplate. The Vision S will be underpinned by the automaker’s new NU_IQ platform, and in production guise, will get petrol, diesel, and electric powertrains. It will be joined by production-ready versions of the Vision X, Vision T, and the Vision SXT that will spawn the next-gen XUV300, XUV500, Thar, Thar Roxx, and a Thar-based pickup truck, respectively.
