Ahead of the impending FTA agreement between India and the UK, the prices of McLaren cars are set to see a major revision. The news comes approximately a month after Jaguar Land Rover India revised the prices of the Range Rover SV and Sport SV in the country.
As per the available details, the McLaren 750S Coupe and Spider variants will carry an updated price tag of Rs. 4.94 crore and Rs. 5.46 crore, compared to the current value of RS. 7.94 crore and Rs. 8.78 crore, respectively. This has resulted in a price cut of Rs. 3 crore and Rs. 3.32 crore for the Coupe and Spider variants.
The McLaren GT, on the other hand, will see a new price tag of Rs. 3.83 crore, compared to the current price of Rs. 6.15 crore, resulting in a difference of Rs. 2.32 crore (all prices, ex-showroom). It should be noted that the price revision is not applicable for the Artura, as it is a hybrid, and the concession under the Free Trade Agreement is not valid for this powertrain for the first five years. While the price revisions have been announced, they are yet to come into effect, and it remains to be seen how soon this move takes place.
