- To be offered in six colours
- Bookings now open
Volkswagen recently announced that it will launch the new Tiguan R-Line in India on 14 April. The carmaker has now listed the upcoming India-spec model on the website, confirming more details for the same.

The new images of the SUV are for the India-spec version, and feature a Persimmon Red Metallic exterior shade. The carmaker plans to offer the Tiguan R-Line in six colours, the other five of which include Cipressino Green Metallic, Nightshade Blue Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic, Oryx White Mother of Peral Effect, and Oyster Silver Metallic. Besides, the overall proportions, design language, and styling remain identical to the global version.

The exclusive 'R' badge on the Tiguan denotes that it’s a special version of the SUV. It is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI (Turbocharged Stratified Injection) engine. The website mentions that this mill produces 204PS, which equates to 201bhp and 320Nm of torque. It will feature DSG, meaning, it will be mated to the brand's seven-speed DCT unit. We had earlier correctly guessed that the car would also get the brand's 4Motion AWD (All Wheel Drive) system.

Volkswagen has commenced pre-bookings for the Tiguan R-Line in India. The booking amount hasn't been mentioned yet, but prospective buyers can reserve the SUV from their official website. The variant-wise pricing will be announced on 14 April, 2025.
