- Pre-facelift now being sold as the Express model
- 1.0-litre NA petrol with MT and AMT
The India-made Renault Triber facelift has been launched in South Africa, with prices starting at Rs. 11.08 lakh (R2,18,999). It is being offered in three trims—Evolution, Techno, and a fully loaded Iconic that can be had in MT and AMT guises. The only engine on offer is a 1.0-litre NA petrol, producing 65bhp and 96Nm. It can be had with either a five-speed MT or a five-speed AMT system.
The South Africa-spec facelift is identical to the one being sold in India, right down to the feature list and safety features. The updated Triber was launched in India earlier this year and features a new front and rear design, updated interiors, and an updated feature list. This is the most comprehensive update for the Triber since its 2019 launch, and is expected to be the only update for this generation of the sub-compact MPV. However, unlike India, Renault is also selling the pre-facelift Triber as the Triber Express, and it is expected to target budget and fleet segments.
