- Will get a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine
Volkswagen has commenced production of the Tera sub-compact SUV at the brand’s facility in Brazil. The India-bound model is based on the same MQB-A0-IN platform that underpins the recently launched Skoda Kylaq.

On the design front, the new Tera SUV features a single-slat grille, sweptback headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, large air dam, blacked-out A and B-pillars, roof rails, black alloy wheels, wraparound LED tail lights, dual-tone rear bumper, faux skid plates, and an integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp.
In terms of features, the 2025 Volkswagen Tera comes equipped with a large freestanding touchscreen system, three-spoke steering wheel, dual-tone upholstery, glossy black inserts, and an auto-dimming IRVM.

Under the hood, the India-spec Tera will be powered by a 1.0-litre, TSI petrol engine, producing 114bhp and 178Nm of torque. This motor will come paired with six-speed manual and torque converter automatic transmissions.
