Hyundai seems to have quietly discontinued the Tucson SUV in India, as the model has now been delisted from the brand’s official website, two years after its launch in the country.

The premium SUV was offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains, paired exclusively with automatic transmissions. However, the all-wheel-drive configuration was limited to the diesel variant.
The Tucson also holds the distinction of being the first Hyundai SUV tested under Bharat NCAP, where it achieved a full five-star safety rating. In addition, it came loaded with features such as Level 2 ADAS, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a powered driver seat with memory function.

The last recorded prices for the Tucson stood at a starting price of Rs. 27.31 lakh and 33.64 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec Signature Diesel AT variant, with several dealers currently offering heavy discounts on unsold inventory. During its time on sale, the Tucson competed with the Jeep Compass, Citroen C5 Aircross, and Volkswagen Tiguan in India’s premium midsize SUV space.
