Hyundai teases next generation fuel-cell vehicle

Hyundai has announced that it will unveil its upcoming fuel-cell vehicle, slated to be a crossover, at the CES in 2018. Hyundai’s new FCV will also benefit from the latest autonomous driving technology.

Sources claim that the new fuel-cell is capable of operating at 60 per cent efficiency. Compared to the fuel-cell powered Tucson, this tech works out to be around nine per cent better, which essentially results in a claimed range of 804km! On a different note, despite the scarcity of hydrogen refilling stations on a worldwide scale, Hyundai seems to have influenced the South Korean government into promising the installation of more than 100 refuelling stations in the country by the year 2020.

Although the brand is yet to name the model, you can judge immediately that it is way more stylish than the current fuel-cell powered Tucson. The wicked front fascia is thanks to the trimmed head lamps and the eye-catching grille. Even the rear portion of this FCV is unique with its snazzy tail lamps, bold creases and rather flat tailgate.
