- Level 2 ADAS officially confirmed
- Could share its powertrain with the Syros EV
Hyundai has confirmed a sub-four-metre electric SUV for India, as part of 26 launches by 2030. This SUV has been spotted with a lane-keep assist camera as part of Level 2 ADAS. The latest set of spy shots gives us a glimpse of the interior of the upcoming EV.
Inside the cabin, we see a preview of the Pleos Connect infotainment system, evident by a nine-inch instrument cluster. It also appears to be using sequential turn signals. The Pleos Connect system is standard in size, with a 17-inch infotainment system. Feature-wise, we expect the electric SUV to get ventilated seats, panoramic glass roof, and ample space, owing to a ground-up EV platform.

Mechanically, Hyundai has proposed battery chemistries, including LFP, but the same is reserved for top-of-the-line models, but budget EVs will either get pure NMC or mid-Nickel NMC (higher density) packs. Both pouch and prismatic cell geometries will be used to manufacture high-density batteries. Hyundai says that the cells have been developed in-house, and packs made from these cells are said to have a longevity similar to that of an LFP pack. Battery capacities could range between 42-51kWh, and an entry price of Rs. 10-12 lakh could widen its appeal. We expect the claimed range to go up to 450km.
