- Powered by a 1.0-litre turbo engine
- Unveiled alongside the Creta Electric launch
Hyundai has showcased a working prototype of the Creta Flex Fuel at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This alternative fuel version of the Creta is capable of operating on anything between E0 to E100 fuel, that is 100 per cent petrol to 100 per cent ethanol. Flex fuel vehicles running on ethanol, a biogenic fuel, help reduce the net carbon footprint and act as an economically viable choice for customers, supported by Government initiatives on flex fuel availability and incentives.
Unlike the regular Creta, which comes with 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine options, the Creta Flex Fuel is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that produces approximately 118bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. The smaller engine is paired with a six-speed torque converter automatic, a unique combination since this 1.0-litre engine is paired with a dual-clutch automatic gearbox in the i20 and the Venue.
Besides showcasing the Creta Flex Fuel, Hyundai India launched the Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Expo. It is launched with an introductory ex-showroom price of Rs. 17.99 lakh. The Creta Electric is available with two battery options, 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The former offers a range of 390km, while the latter has a claimed range of 473km.
