Honda Motor Company has announced the adoption of a refreshed “H” mark that will serve as the new symbol of its global automobile business. Revealed in Japan, the updated logo signals the brand’s transition towards its next phase of mobility, with a strong focus on electrification, hybrid technology, and intelligent vehicles.

The H mark has been a core part of Honda’s identity since 1963 and has undergone multiple design evolutions over the decades. The newly redesigned version has been developed alongside Honda’s next-generation EV programme, including the upcoming Honda 0 Series. According to the company, the updated emblem represents a return to Honda’s roots while simultaneously reflecting its ambition to reinvent itself for the future. The design, which resembles two outstretched hands, symbolises Honda’s commitment to expanding the possibilities of mobility and responding more closely to customer needs.
Honda has confirmed that the new H mark will be introduced on next-generation electric vehicles as well as future hybrid electric models, starting with products scheduled to debut globally from 2027 onwards. Beyond vehicles, the refreshed logo will also be rolled out across customer-facing touchpoints such as dealerships, brand communications, and Honda’s automobile motorsports activities.
As for India, Honda has already outlined an aggressive product strategy for the market between 2027 and 2030. The company plans to introduce 10 new models during this period, comprising all new nameplates, generational updates, and select special models. Honda has also showcased the Honda 0 α Prototype on the global stage, which is expected to arrive in India as part of its future EV roadmap.
Currently, Honda’s India lineup includes the City, Amaze, and Elevate. However, the brand remains absent from the electric vehicle space. With its upcoming product offensive and a renewed global identity, Honda appears to be laying the groundwork for a broader and more diversified presence in the Indian market over the next few years.
