- New interface explains CR-V's features
- Experienced while taking test drive
- Will be extended to other cars soon
Honda says this mechanism helps the car to explain its own features to the prospective buyers while they are busy experiencing the vehicle. And how does the CR-V do that? There's a 'Talking Car' mobile application installed on a digital device, which in turn is configured and paired to the car's audio system. Once started, a voiceover explains all the features. If that's not all, the app also takes inputs based on the driving response to explain the key features.
This is an innovative idea to help in the car buying process and making it interesting. Honda believes it also empowers the dealer staff to offer a standardised test drive experience in a more engaging manner. This is currently available at Honda dealerships only for the CR-V, but will be introduced to more Honda cars in the future.
