Force Motors may assemble engines for BMW

Just few days ago, we reported about Force Motors’announcement to open a new engine manufacturing and testing facility in Tamil Nadu. It also said that the Pune- based manufacturer signed an agreement with an unnamed global car manufacturer to supply engines. This unnamed manufacturer in question is BMW, reports Autocar

Force Motors is already assembling engines for Mercedes-Benz and with the inclusion of BMW, it will have two German clients in its kitty. This new facility has attracted around Rs 100 crore of investment will be setup in Anjur, Kancheepuram district in Tamil Nadu. Production at the facility will commence from January 2015, butthe Pune-based manufacturer refused to comment about the capacity of the facility.A BMW spokesperson, when contacted, said that the company does not comment on speculation.
