- Replaces the SF90 Stradale
- Prices expected to start upwards of Rs. 10 crore
Ferrari will launch the 849 Testarossa in India on 14 March. The new flagship model replaces the SF90 Stradale in the brand’s line-up. Prices for the 849 Testarossa are expected to begin upwards of Rs. 10 crore (ex-showroom).

The Ferrari 849 Testarossa is a mid-engine plug-in hybrid supercar powered by a reworked 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with three electric motors and a lithium-ion battery pack. The combined output stands at around 1,050bhp, making it the most powerful production Ferrari to date. The model can sprint from 0-100kmph in under 2.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 330kmph. That said, the plug-in hybrid system also enables a limited pure-electric driving range of up to 25 km.

In terms of design, the 849 Testarossa draws inspiration from the classic Testarossa, while incorporating cues from Ferrari’s contemporary supercar family. The bodywork emphasises wide proportions and aerodynamic efficiency. A retractable hard-top Spider variant will also be available.

The cabin blends luxury with a driver-centric layout, featuring advanced digital interfaces and premium materials. Ferrari has intentionally avoided a large central touchscreen, opting instead for integrated digital displays and intuitive physical controls.
Beyond outright performance, Ferrari has introduced extensive aerodynamic and chassis upgrades. Active aero elements generate over 400 kg of downforce at high speeds, enhancing stability. Advanced torque-vectoring, updated chassis electronics, and a high-performance braking system are all part of the package.
