Exclusive: MG ZS EV battery specifications and water wading capacity revealed

- Powering the MG ZS EV will be a 44.5 kWh battery

MG Motor India has revealed crucial details of the ZS EV ahead of its Indian debut next month. The company recently revealed the safety features of the model, details of which are available here. Powering the MG ZS EV will be a 44.5 kWh battery. This battery has an IP67 dust and water-resistant rating. 

MG also showcased the water wading capacity of the ZS EV, which can be seen in the image below. The model wades through water with more than 50 per-cent of the wheels submerged inside while the body of the car barely touches the water body for a brief period. The ZS EV effortlessly passes through without stalling.

In August, MG Motor India announced its partnership with Delta Electronics to enable EV charging infrastructure. As a part of the association, the company will install private AC chargers in private vehicle parking locations such as homes and offices. British actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be the brand ambassador for the ZS EV in India.
