- Changed front and rear ends
- New steering wheel likely
Mercedes-Benz seems to be readying a facelift for the AMG CLE series, and a front wrap hints at the same. The new CLE does not look like a radical departure from its existing iteration.

Up front, there’s a revised star-studded headlight. As the front bumper is wrapped, expect the grille and air intakes to get a revised design. At the rear, this test mule is using the same setup as its existing iteration. This is only a pre-production version, though. Expect the rear end to get a revised design with embedded stars, as well as a new bumper and diffuser combination. The tail pipes could also be redesigned.

Internally, the CLE facelift will largely remain unchanged, given that the existing iteration started rolling off production lines about two years ago, and it launched in India in August 2025. To recap, the existing AMG CLE53 gets a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other vanities include a keyless start/go system, heated steering (a design change is likely with the new one), carbon fibre trims, and Burmester audio. Safety-wise, there’s six standard airbags, FCW, LKA, blind-spot assist, TSR, park assist, and 360-degree cameras. The facelift’s ADAS system could receive more features.
Facelifts typically mirror their existing iterations’ mechanicals. Therefore, the facelifted CLE will mostly continue with the same 3.0L inline-six motor paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox. This setup is tuned to churn out 442.5bhp/560Nm. 0-100kmph comes in at 4.2 seconds, and the performance coupe tops out at 250kmph. Expect an end-2027 or a Q1 2028 showcase.
