Chevrolet Spark/Beat EV to debut at LA

The Chevrolet Spark (what we know as the Beat) has been a reasonable success in the US market, and now GM has announced that the electric version will be heading to the US market. It will be on display at the LA Auto show later this month. The company hasn't divulged any details about the Spark/Beat EV, just that it will offer the same package that the petrol model has, but with electric power. 

The only things that are known for sure about the Spark / Beat EV is that it will be sold in select markets globally and in small quantities, and the nanophosphate Li-ion batteries will be supplied by A123 systems. 

We do not think that India is part of that list where the Beat EV will be launched, but if the Volt is anything to go by, we'd dearly love to have a go in one. Watch this space for more information about the little EV from GM from the LA Auto Show.
