- Boxy SUV, second global offering from iCAUR
- Tata Sierra EV rival
Chinese carmaker, Chery Automobile, has patented several cars in India, most of which are NEVs (New Energy Vehicles). The likes of the Jaecoo J5 and the Exeed Exlantix ET have been spotted testing, but no patent has been filed yet. Now, the second iCAUR global model, the 03, has been spotted being transported on a flatbed in India.

The iCAUR 03 has been advertised as an off-road-focused electric SUV. Much like the V23, this SUV also has a boxy silhouette. But unlike the V23, this is a proper five-seater. An all-LED light setup is also found here. Internally, the 03 has a 15.6-inch centre screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof with sun shade, ambient lights, 12-speaker sound system by Infinity, 360° camera that doubles up as a dashcam, NFC unlock, 540° view, and front and rear ventilated seats.

Mechanically, the iCAUR 03 is powered by a dual-motor AWD setup, with the front motor churning out 93.8bhp/165Nm, while the rear motor belts out 181bhp/220Nm. Combined output stands at 274.7bhp/385Nm. A 69.8kWh LFP battery powers this setup, and the claimed range stands at 418km (NEDC). Charging speeds are rated at 6.6kW (AC) and 80kW (DC). With a price of RM1,29,880 (Malaysian Ringgit, it translates to Rs. 30.35 lakh as per today’s exchange rate. If it launches in India at a similar price, it will rival the Tata Sierra EV.
