BYD India is all set to launch the Sealion 7 in India tomorrow, with prices expected to be announced in the first half of the day. The carmaker had showcased the electric SUV at the Bharat Mobility Show last month.
The BYD Sealion 7 derives power from an 82.56 kWh battery pack, and has a claimed range of up to 567km on a single charge. The range-topping Performance variant is AWD, which generates an impressive 523bhp and 690Nm of torque. This setup enables the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.5 seconds, though the claimed range here is 542km. The other Premium variant is RWD and offers the same battery pack, but with a lower power output (308bhp, 380Nm).
In international markets, the Sealion 7 is available in multiple battery packs. However, we will have the 82.56kWh version in two trims — Premium and Performance. Sporting a fastback silhouette and packed with many features, the e-SUV will come in four exterior shades, and bookings have already begun at Rs. 70,000. Upon its launch tomorrow, it will become the brand's fourth passenger EV in India.
