- Fourth BYD EV in India
- Available in two variants
BYD recently launched the Sealion 7 in India, which now joins the carmaker's Atto3, Seal, and the eMax 7 EV range in the country. We got a chance to get behind its wheel during the media drive in Jaipur. All details from its first drive review are furnished in this picture gallery.

The new electric crossover is offered in four exterior shades. Apart from the Aurora White in the images here, there's Cosmos Black, Shark Grey, and Atlantis Grey.

Highlighting features of its design include sharp lighting details, low-slung bonnet, ocean-inspired elements, sleek contours, and a fastback silhouette, even though it is taller than the Seal.

The set of equipment for the Sealion 7 comprises modern-day features, latest tech, and the cabin is spacious with comfortable seating.

Taking the centre stage is a huge 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display, that can be rotated at the touch of a button. It also has wireless smartphone connectivity.

Other USPs include a panoramic glass roof, digital instrument cluster, heads-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, 11 airbags, and ADAS.

Powertrain
The BYD Sealion 7 derives its power from an 82.56kWh battery pack, which has a claimed range of up to 567km on a single charge for the RWD Premium variant, which has a power output of 308bhp and 380Nm torque. On the other hand, the range-topping Performance AWD variant (542km range) has an impressive 523bhp and 690Nm torque. This setup enables the e-SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.5 seconds.
