As we wait for the Seal U to be launched in India later this year, BYD continues testing the Atto 2 mid-size electric SUV on public roads across the country. A fresh set of spy shots reveals a semi-camouflaged unit of the upcoming EV.
As seen in the images here, the new Atto 2 is painted in a shade of white, which is likely to be one of the multiple colours on offer. Elsewhere, it features sweptback headlamps, blanked-off grille with BYD lettering and a brushed aluminium insert at the bottom, large dual-tone alloy wheels, and chunky cladding for the doors. Also up for offer will be LED taillights, rear wiper and washer, integrated spoiler with a high-mounted stop lamp, shark-fin antenna, and roof rails.
Inside, the 2026 BYD Atto 2 is expected to be equipped with an ADAS suite, 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charger, V2L function, three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, all-black theme, panoramic sunroof, crystal gear lever, 360-degree camera, fully digital driver’s display, and an auto-dimming IRVM.
Internationally, the Atto 2 mid-size SUV is offered with 51.1kWh and 64.8kWh battery packs with a WLTP-certified range of 345km and 420km, respectively. Once launched in India, it will rival the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara, MG ZS EV, Tata Sierra EV, and the Mahindra BE 6.
