- Power upped by 50bhp
- Lighter by 45kg
BMW has recently unveiled the M2 CS, a high-performance variant of its compact M series. This latest iteration is thrilling, boasting a lightweight design, increased power, and enhanced performance capabilities, complemented by striking cosmetic upgrades.

Now, specifically to shed weight without compromising structural integrity, the BMW M2 CS features strategic upgrades that incorporate the use of carbon fibre elements. These include the new ducktail spoiler, trunk lid, lightweight forged wheels in golden bronze, and racing-inspired carbon bucket seats. All of these reduce the car's weight, look gobsmackingly gorgeous, and ultimately enhance its track capabilities.

Power comes from a heavily tuned 3.0-litre, twin-turbo, inline-six petrol engine, which now produces 523bhp and 649Nm, substantially more than the standard M2. However, there's no manual transmission, and the mill will only come mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Production is set to begin later this year at BMW's San Luis Potosi facility in Mexico. As a hardcore rear-wheel-drive machine, the CS-badged model is sure to thrill enthusiasts.
