- Both 7 Series and i7 facelifts to be launched together
- Pre-launch bookings underway
BMW will officially launch the updated 7 Series range in India tomorrow, bringing both the petrol and diesel variants and the fully electric i7 to market together. The automaker has kept pre-launch bookings open for over a month now, and based on what BMW has revealed so far, here's what to expect from both cars.

On the outside, the most noticeable update is an illuminated kidney grille, a first for the 7 Series in India. The headlamps have been redesigned with a split layout, with slim upper units housing the LED DRLs and smaller clusters positioned lower near the air curtains. At the rear, the tail lamps get a slimmer treatment with chrome detailing and smoked glass, while the boot release, rear camera and washer nozzle are all now hidden from view.

Inside, the biggest change is a 17.9-inch central touchscreen running BMW's newer operating system, paired with a 14.6-inch display for the front passenger. The traditional instrument cluster is gone, replaced by a full-width projection at the base of the windscreen. Other updates include a new four-spoke steering wheel, a full-width ambient lighting strip, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 18 speakers and Dolby Atmos support, and a larger 31.3-inch 8K rear entertainment screen capable of video calls, streaming and gaming.
On powertrains, the 740i xDrive petrol now makes 400bhp and 580Nm, while the 740d xDrive diesel produces 313bhp and 670Nm, with both continuing to use a 3.0-litre inline-six mild-hybrid setup paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The i7 range also picks up a larger 112.4kWh battery across both variants, and the entry-level i7 50 moves from rear-wheel drive to xDrive all-wheel drive as standard.

Ahead of tomorrow's announcement, the outgoing 7 Series was priced from Rs 1.85 crore for the petrol and diesel range, while the i7 was priced between Rs 2.10 crore and Rs 2.58 crore, all ex-showroom.
