BMW 3 Series facelift launched in India at Rs 35.9 lakh

BMW has launched the facelifted 3 Series in India at Rs 35.9 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With the top of the line M Sport model retailing at Rs 44.5 lakh, this locally assembled sedan is available in four trims and is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine.

The new BMW 3 Series gets a revised headlamp and tail lamp assembly, which set it apart from the previous model. The headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps and the indicators integrate LED units while the broad air intakes on redesigned bumpers give it an aggressive appearance. Inside, the new 3 Series is available with new upholstery options to bring out the sedan’s sporty character.

Internally called F30, this BMW 3 Series houses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-pot diesel engine under the hood. Mated to an eight-speed ZF gearbox, the engine churns out 190bhp and 400Nm of torque. With this kind of power figure, the 3 Series can hit 0 to 100kmph in just 7.2 seconds, going on till about 230kmph. BMW gives customers the option to customise their car in multiple ways through their customisation program. Besides, BMW is also offering a 360 degree assured buy back program to provide flexibility for their customers.

The BMW 3 Series rivals other luxury sedans like the Audi A4 and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class. It is available in alpine white, black sapphire, platinum silver, jatoba, imperial blue brilliant effect, melbourne red and mediterranean blue paint schemes. Besides these, the M Sport variant also comes in an exclusive estoril blue metallic colour.

Speaking about this new model, Mr Philipp von Sahr, President, BMW Group India said, “40 years ago, the BMW 3 Series established the modern sports sedan segment and is the world’s most widely sold premium vehicle. The new BMW 3 Series will continue to lead this legacy with its sporty design, powerful performance and unmatched efficiency. With its everyday usability, dynamic characteristics and attractive design, the new BMW 3 Series will establish a new benchmark in the Indian luxury car segment.”
