Audi India has laid out one of the most ambitious product roadmaps the brand has announced in the country in recent years. Three new models, the Q3, the A5, and the Q9 are confirmed for India in less than 12 months, with the first arriving during the festive season this year and the last expected in the second half of 2027. Crucially, all three will be locally assembled at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen Group plant in Maharashtra.

The Q3 will lead the charge and is the most imminent of the three. The third-generation model arrives as a significant step up from the car it replaces with sharper design, a more contemporary interior, and better technology. For India, expect a 204bhp, 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and standard Quattro all-wheel drive. An 11.9-inch digital driver's display, a 12.8-inch touchscreen, three-zone automatic climate control, and a large sunroof are expected on the India-spec model. Both the SUV and Sportback body styles could make it here, with a launch expected in the coming months.

The A5 follows in early 2027, replacing the ageing A4. It is larger, more sophisticated, and built on Audi's new architecture. The interior which it shares with newer Audis represents a significant leap, with an optional passenger-side touchscreen display adding to the cabin's technology credentials. India is expected to receive the 2.0-litre turbo petrol with an automatic gearbox in front-wheel-drive configuration.

The most significant arrival is the Q9 and will be Audi's new flagship SUV. At over 5.3 metres in length, this is not a stretched Q7 but a proper three-row car rivalling the Mercedes-Benz GLS and BMW X7 in India. The Q9 is expected to be powered by a petrol engine paired with an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. No diesel option is expected for India.
The ambition behind all of this is clear. Audi India currently holds approximately eight per cent of the luxury car market and is targeting 16 to 18 per cent within three years. With three fresh models, a rebuilt retail network, and a growing pre-owned business under the Audi Approved Plus umbrella, the machinery for that push is now in place.
