Audi aims for 30 per cent electric car sales by 2025

Audi is utilising the VW Group synergies for the growth of electric motoring. In April, the brand teamed up with Porsche for future vehicle architecture and part of this cooperation is to develop new common platforms for electric vehicles.

By developing a common premium architecture, Audi aims to enhance the competitiveness of their electric cars. By 2025, the brand intends to convert one-third of its fleet to fully or partially electric cars.

Besides EVs, Audi is focusing heavily on autonomous driving technologies. The brand will take over the leading role within the Volkswagen Group in the development of autonomous driving and work on the technology for driverless vehicles in urban environment. This will be applicable in models of various brands and the technology will be made available in series of small cars in the early years of the next decade.
