- More powerful and lighter than the standard DBX
- Featuring distinctive styling
Aston Martin has revealed a new flagship version of its SUV, the DBX. Given the DBX S moniker, this new iteration delivers more power, reduced weight, and a more assertive design. At the heart of the DBX S lies an upgraded version of the 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 powerhouse. By using turbo tech, larger compressor wheel diameter, and other internal improvements from the upcoming Valhalla supercar, power figures are now raised by 20bhp, taking the output to 717bhp.
The result is a zero to 100kmph acceleration of just 3.3 seconds, with a zero to 200kmph acceleration reducing by 0.3 seconds. In addition to the power upgrade, a number of measures have been taken to reduce the kerb weight of the DBX S. For instance, there is a new optional carbon fibre roof in a single weave pattern which sees the removal of the roof rails, and the combination saves 18kg mass.
According to Aston Martin, magnesium wheels are available as an option for the first time on any car in the SUV segment. Magnesium is not only robust but also a lightweight material, weighing only half of the titanium and a third less than aluminium. The DBX S is on sale in select European markets, with deliveries expected in Q4 2025.
