• Dual-motor setup
• Compact eSUV
Mercedes' compact SUV lineup is set to receive an update. A completely wrapped GLA 53 was recently spied testing. The camouflage only showcases black wheel arch claddings and large tail lamps. The grille bears resemblance with the GLC EV, sports AMG-style wheels, and gets a pronounced rear spoiler.

Based on the same MMA platform as the the CLA with EQ Tech, this means an 800-volt EV architecture, packing in more than 700km range and a dual-motor setup. With support for both hybrid and EV powertrains, the upcoming compact eSUV will replace the petrol GLA and the all-electric EQA lineups. It is uncertain what nameplate the all-electric GLA will get - the GLA 35 or the GLA 35 EQ. Interiors from the existing CLA may be carried over. Expect a mid-2026 showcase.
