- Minor cosmetic changes
- New powertrain combination likely
A completely wrapped 2026 Maruti Brezza was spied on Indian roads. The updated iteration was seen with subtle yet significant changes.

Up front, there’s no noticeable change. To the side, the alloy design has been changed. A partially torn wrap reveals a thin black side cladding, hinting at a reduction in plastics. However, two significant changes have been sighted. Internally, a six-speed manual gearbox and a larger infotainment were seen, and the latter points at a new powertrain combination. The Brezza already gets an HUD with turn-by-turn navigation.

While a larger infotainment will mostly get a better resolution and more features, a 6MT system hints at a new engine option. There are two possibilities – addition of a gear for better ratios, which is useful on highways, or the addition of a turbo-petrol motor – and we aren’t too confident about the latter, given that the Victoris, which is positioned higher than the Brezza, continues with naturally aspirated units.

CNG?
The 2026 Brezza is said to have an underbody CNG tank, although we couldn’t verify the same. The Brezza has an underbody exhaust, and it is easy to misinterpret the same, especially with complete wraps on recent test mules. If this is the case, the CNG iteration’s boot space will remain unaffected. A spare tyre, along with a tyre mobility kit, should also be included.
