Hyundai has launched Knight Edition for the 2026 Exter at Rs. 8.14 lakh, ex-showroom. The Knight Edition commands a Rs. 15,000 premium over the corresponding standard variants.
The Exter Knight is offered on the HX 6 petrol manual, HX 6 petrol AMT, HX 6 CNG manual, and HX 10 petrol AMT variants. This is the second time Hyundai has offered a Knight Edition on the Exter, with the previous version introduced in 2024.
The Knight Edition retains the overall design of the updated Exter but gets a series of dark-themed exterior changes. The ‘Hyundai’ and ‘Exter’ logos at the front and rear are finished in matte black, while the front and rear bumper garnishes and side sill garnish get a dark grey finish.
The micro SUV also gets black alloy wheels on select variants, while others feature dark grey styled steel wheels. The red brake calipers on the front wheels provide a contrasting element, while a Knight emblem on the tailgate completes the exterior treatment.
The Knight Edition is available in Titanium Black, Atlas White, Starry Night, Titan Grey, and Golden Bronze colour shades.
The biggest change inside is the new colour scheme. The cabin gets an all-black theme with brass accents, along with exclusive black semi-fabric seat upholstery. Further, select variants also get amber coloured footwell lighting and a black flat-bottom steering wheel.
There are no major changes to the equipment list compared with the corresponding standard variants. Depending on the variant, the Exter continues to offer features such as an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, sunroof, rear parking camera and sensors, wireless phone charging and connected car technology.
The Knight Edition does not get any mechanical changes. It continues with Hyundai's 1.2 litre, petrol engine, which produces 83bhp and 114Nm. It can be paired with either a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed AMT. The CNG version uses the same powertrain and produces 69bhp and 95Nm. It is offered exclusively with a five-speed manual gearbox.
