Mercedes-Benz GLC [2016-2019] User Reviews

This car presents itself with a new fault every couple of months. Absolutely third rate quality product and you just do not get what you are paying for. I do not have any problems with the drive quality, but the ac has already been repaired twice and is spoilt again, the fuel tank cover doesn’t open without a funnel and there are many other small problems which keep popping up. If you are thinking of buying this car I strongly recommend that you consider all other options before you buy this.

I purchased GLC from Silver Arrows in August 20017 but they cheated me by charging 80000 as handling charges which is illegal as per supreme Court. This I came to know only recently when I asked for details of charges from them for my income tax return. My suggestion to all the future buyers is to ask for details of charges before finalizing the deal.

wanted to buy a premium brand for off roading and GLC fit in my budget and requirement. did a cross country with family and it was an awesome experience. touched 190km/hr on Lucknow -Agra expressway and the car was very stable at high speed. have to shell out a lac on insurance and about 40k on maintenance every year. Cons- the infotainment system is obsolete and there is no navigating system. It cannot be paired to any phone.screen mirroring not possible with the phone Pros- Everything except the infotainment system

Exterior

 Lots of options in color, wheels, and sports package.

This one has run flat tires. So make sure you get some service package for the tire and rim When you get this car.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

 Super Comfortable. The premium plus package will give you power adjustable passenger seat as well.

memory package with steering column is another good option.so it adjusts the steering wheel position as per the driver based on what settings were stored in memory for it.

ambient lighting is really nice. Panasonic sunroof is amazing. Rear view camera is included in the premium package but 360 camera is not. you can pay more and get the 360 camera which is pretty cool.

Adaptive high beam assist is part of the LED lighting package. 

Very roomy boot / trunk space.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

 engine performance is outstanding. Car goes from 2 to 100 in no time (6 secs). Most fun you have with the car is when you drive it in sports plus mode because that is when you feel the road more and you can feel the power of the engine and the car drives like a sports car.

Gears are behind the steering wheel and it has paddle shifters as well. All controls are in and around the steering wheel.

Ride Quality & Handling

 Ride quality is excellent. Its a pleasure to drive this car. Drive quality is awesome. Very versatile. The comfort mode allows you to enjoy a relaxed drive with absolute silence in the cabin or go to the sports and sports plus mode to drive it like a sports car.  Even though it's a mid size Suv it turns well on the curves.

Amazing SUV. Highly recommended. 

Areas of improvement  

some of the features like keyless go that are standard on a Toyota are not standard on this. You will be paying significantly extra To add on a package that has those features.

 

Comfort, design, interiors, optionsLatest model - lots of demand - no deals

Mercedes’ dealerships, marketing, events and parties are just a cherry on top of what their cars are! They’re sure sure worth the value of the machines! The driving experience of the GLC 220d is completely mind blowing, the drive modes : eco, comfort, sport, sport plus, and individual do really make you feel the change in the way this beast works. Eco is a drive mode in which the car is so freaking efficient that you cant imagine with the power this car has, it gives almost an average of 14-15 km/l. Comfort gives almost the same average as eco but makes you feel less of the road beneath you even in higher speeds but to be honest you might not fee the change that good. Sport and sport plus modes are completely mind-boggling, the car just pushes you back in the seat so hard on the push of the pedal, the car completely seems transformed when in these modes, believe me- this will completely blow your mind! Coming on to the comfort and luxury inside the cabin : The interior is more luxurious than any of the cars in its category (bmw X3, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Lexus Nx). Believe me it really makes you feel above all the cars near you in the traffic, makes you feel a celebrity, coz off course you are, youre in a freaking Mercedes, yes, in India the brand matters and so thats a plus point when you buy this one! Coming off the amazing interior qualities, I shall admit the features in this one might not be equal to its competitors, but it does give enough of them for you to be convenient and there are some bits of them which are really useful so the other plus points can cover this one’s this negative point! One more con, i did realise that the road noise is audible, with that i mean it is not as much as NORMAL cars but its not S-Class quality either! So you might need to bare with it, again this can be covered with the plus points! But my car’s C pillar makes a kind of squeeking noise when climbing a ramp while making a turn, but i didnt notice this at first, until i was going in a Toyota Fortuner on the same ramp where my car made the noise and now i cant unhear it anytime now :( Maybe this would be solved in the serivce and maintanence the next time it goes for one, The service people are very careful about it too, i got noises from the door coz of the road just a week after bought and the service people responded to my conplaint very quickly, came home to pick the car, put covers on the seat so the driver doesnt spoil the interior, took pictures of the car for their and our safety concerns and gave a report about the scratches and paint scrape too! The problem was the door seals were not proper, so new seals for all doors were ordered and put on the car which didnt even take one day, the car was cleaned polished and retuned the same day, costing about 15000/- rupees but i got it all for FREE as it was their problem and was in warranty but these noises might come as this is an India made version so some features and quality are put aside but might be fixed in the service! So all in all, if i had to give a review in one line i would say: If features dont matter to you and performance, luxury and comfort does and you also have budget and want fame too, theres no car better than this one! You love it, believe me!

GLC 200, GLC 200D 4Matic, with beautiful body, 9g automatic and underpowered engine similar to GLA, the price you are charging more than 2 million Rupees Extra than GLA. It is not worth to buy GLC Diesel at all. Are you a nut mercedes Benz India. Do some justice for Indian customer. Either you come up with more powerful turbo charged or supercharged diesel engine with minimum 250bhp or reduce price significantly. If you are not doing anything, then you are following the path of up Nokia story. Time is ticking and customer are more awarness now a days rather than 10 years back. Average age of customer is reducing for buying luxury car in India. They are more smarter and much awarness while spending money. You ask yourself what price you are charging and what kind of low powered engine you are bringing in your car specific diesel one. You will get the answer. Long term you are not on the race if no action you are taking now. Good luck.

Very low mileage (7-8/Lt of petrol). Even though it is 245 horse power, no punchy feeling. We need to really press the accelerator. No keyless entry, no touch screen, No GPS. Benz is selling outdated features for high money in India.

I only seen this car. And I love the blue colour of mercedes ben-Z blue colors petrol car. And overall I must like this car and I am very happy to see this car and price is overall good.
