Performance wing of the German manufacturer, Mercedes-AMG has further strengthened its foothold in the country with the launch of the C43 AMG coupe. Interestingly, this is first ever two door coupe in the AMG 43 line, introduced by Mercedes-Benz in India.
The Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that produces around 383bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz 9-speed automatic transmission powers all four wheels. The company claims that the coupe is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just about 4.7 seconds and is electronically restricted to a top speed of 250kmph. The coupe also gets the AMG ride control suspension setup which automatically adjusts the damping according to the driving modes.
The C43 AMG coupe will come with distinctive AMG-specific detailing in the form of black exterior mirror housing, sportier air intakes and quad-exhaust pipes. Additionally, the coupe will get silver-painted brake calipers with AMG lettering as standard. Furthermore, it gets AMG radiator grille with distinctive twin louvre in matt iridium silver that extends to the front apron.
The vehicle gets Artico leather seats in black with red stitching on the seats, door panels and the dashboard. The AMG performance steering wheel is wrapped in Nappa leather with touch control buttons and heads up display. Furthermore, the 12.3-inch fully digital instrument cluster offers three display styles – Classic, Sport and SuperSport.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Coupe, offered in the C43 AMG guise, offers decent luxury and performance you’d come to expect from Mercedes. However, it lacks the element of practicality and blistering performance from probably a full-blown 63 AMG.
