The in house brand name Maruti Suzuki doesn't need any introduction. Their product Zen is one of the pillars along with 800. Every household is aware of the car which was really famous in early 2000. The car design and engine in terms of practicality was really on point. This car was really designed with precision and the ride it give compared to the cars at that time was best. The car is spacious to carry 5 people along with a bit of luggage. The looks of the car is also decent, and still in 2019, it doesn't look like an alien design. The service after driven more than 1 Lakh Km is needed quarterly with minimum expenses. The best part about it was the availability of mechanic, most of the mechanic had knowledge about this car and they could repair it in very short span of time. The ride quality of this car was also a key factor which contributed to its success. Going for 150+ Kms ride doesn't feel uncomfort. The car maneuvers beautifully whenever needed at 3rd or 4th gear. The body roll is there but not that much which is acceptable in terms of design and practicality at that time. Pros : Nice design Good Engine Spacious for 4 and okay for 5 people. Less maintenance cost. Cons: Less Boot space Bit of body roll Noise inside the cabin at a speed of 85kms/hr. Interior were basic.

The mini version of swift vxi is Zen vx... The most wonderful car that I found around 1.6 lakhs way back in 2009. The smooth running of the engine gives you a feeling like you drive a swift but in a reduced speed... The highest speed was around 145 on a national highway that was really good for speeding... However... The comfort is less, driving at such a speed... You would also have to look out for the best vehicle available in the market since the production of this model is dated to 2003 only...

Buying experience: Bought a pre owned 05 years ago.Though having trouble in doing it's car fitness due to agent based system in RTO Kolkata. Riding experience: Feels like driving a sports car.Very close to the land due it's low ground clearance.At 17th year car response is fantastic.Without power steering but still can ride single hand.Good control at speed.Ac is slow but strong if switched on at the right moment. Details about looks, performance etc: Looks classic,performance undoubtedly great in all aspects. Servicing and maintenance: Every six months car is serviced.Cost is equivalent to maintaing a two wheeler if driven with care. Pros and Cons: Only cons is it's low ground clearance.Car base gets roughed up when trying to manoeuvre through humps/speed breakers especially when 4 passenger's and driver is seated.
