The mpv looks like a better product from mahindra- moves like a silent shark- agreee i found the cabin noise was low- but in bangalore city short test drive could not go above 4th gear, though it has 6 gears- sadly no automatic as of now-same m-hawk engine 1.6 diesel-120 hp looks wise it looks good for mpv- but not like suv- i drove the maroon red colour which i found was not that bright, the stance of car was low, the lines were neat and angular,line-aerodynamic, they could have made it more attractive, the rear was also more flat and nothing great- striking tail lail lamps inside looks decent and spacious, the plastic quality should have been better, leather seats look good with 4 captain seats- but colur needed to be brown or black- the console looks good-though the front charging point was low and difficult to access- the praking brake is huge and comes in the way- it could have been made simple- i liked the overhead aircraft designed surround cooling system-it was effective and the air blast does not hit your face for back benchers- the seating arrangement was good- entering 3rd row bench maybe difficult for fat & old people, sat in last row, enough space and thigh support- but good for kids- could not check ride quality in 3rd row when going over bumps or potholes- it was bad for xuv500, there are decent chubby holes for water bottles- head room space too was ok- since i drove from drivers seat- had good view all around- drivers seat is adjustable for height, & steering wheel, the gear shifting was ok- and easy, the all 4 disc brakes could not test at high speeds- nor could test any roll effect at turning points- could not test the headlights effect as drove in day. i found the the engine compartment packed with hardly any free spaces for maintaince crew service, the spare tyre is also spotted below rear end and not easy to remove, mahindra trying to save costs on safety- only 2 front airbags- no airbags for rear seats or curtain airbags- no hillassist or other terrain features- there was an engine guard only for engine- ground clearence was less- but maybe with r17 wheels- the rear suspension is cheap-could have been better type- luggage space is limited also unless you fold rear 3rd row.so youll need roof carrier in case 7 seats occupied, price wise could have been lower by 2 lkhs for top end product, its better than etigra- cheaper than innova- cant tell much now how it fares as not on roads yet, also mahindra service has a low opinion, dont know abt service and spares costs compared to toyota for long 10 year vehicle life, dont know abt mileage, but fully loaded mpv on hill climb maybe be an issue with 1.6 diesel engine-and mileage returns hard to tell on other pros and cons till more customers buy and review the marazzo
