The new Volvo V90 Cross Country emerges as the third cross country model to be introduced in the country by the Swedish car manufacturer. The vehicle is indeed an estate version of the S90 in India. However, the V90 Cross Country offers much more in terms of features as well as driving dynamics.
The V90 Cross Country from Volvo is powered by a D5 2.0-litre unit that generates 235bhp of power and 480Nm of torque. This powerful engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox along with four driving modes - eco, comfort, rough road and dynamic. The vehicle also gets an AWD system that enhances its off-road capabilities.
On the exterior, Volvo V90 Cross Country gets better ground clearance in comparison to the S90. The vehicle also features beefier body cladding bigger wheels. Instead of chrome bars on the grille, the new model gets vertical black bars with tiny chrome squares. The raked windshield and spoiler make the vehicle a visual treat.
The interior of the V90 Cross Country is available in either amber, maroon brown or charcoal-coloured leather with mesh aluminium trim. The dashboard gets unique vertical air-con slats with adjustments and a large tablet-like infotainment system. The cooled front seats offer massage function and allows electric adjustment for lumbar, lateral and thigh support. The new body style offers an additional 60-litres of boot space over the S90 which has 500-litres. The vehicle also gets a panorama sunroof.
