The Lamborghini Huracan replaced the legendary Gallardo back in 2015 as the entry-level Raging Bull. After being around for three years and offered in six iterations, Lamborghini is now working on an update for the Huracan before its replacement arrives. The spied images preview a large infotainment screen for the Baby Lambo which it never had before.
The Huracan Spyder spotted in these images has a completely redesigned rear and a slightly tweaked fascia. The rear diffuser is somewhat similar to the recently revealed Aventador SVJ which indirectly takes its cues from the Performante. The high-placed exhaust also makes way for a revised taillight design and a small spoiler that can also be seen on the test mule. The prototype was sitting on huge Y-spoke alloy wheels which have also been spotted for the first time.
The most prominent change comes on the inside with a massive screen taken straight out of the Lamborghini Centenario. Even the display details appear unchanged in the spied images compared to the limited edition Lamborghini. Apart from that, we expect a revised powertrain. The Huracan can finally get a rear-wheel steering scrounged from its elder sibling, the Aventador S. Along with it, the naturally-aspirated V10 could get a boost in power enhancing the performance figures.
The updated Huracan and Huracan Spyder are expected to be revealed sometime next year as an MY2020. Meanwhile, the replacement for the Huracan is due in a couple of years’ time. It will share its underpinnings with the new-gen R8 which is rumoured to go electric. Nothing is confirmed about the future of Sant'Agata’s supercar at the moment, except that Lamborghini will surely bring all its models to India without much delay.
