2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport

Land Rover has organised an off-road driving experience in Chennai till February 5, 2017.

Land Rover has just begun taking orders for its 2017 model Discovery Sport. Prices for the new version range from 5,100,000 Yen (Rs 33.42 lakh) to 7,230,000 Yen (Rs 47.37 lakh).

Land Rover has added a petrol variant of the Discovery Sport to their line-up, priced at Rs 56.5 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). This will be offered in the HSE variant only.

I woke up on Friday morning with a huge smile pasted on my face. How couldn’t I be? Especially when I had an invitation in my inbox for an “Experience” drive from Land Rover on their Discovery Sport and Evoque.

Jaguar Land Rover India has announced the launch of its innovative new smartphone integration platform, InControlApps, for the Indian market. Developed in conjunction with Bosch, the InControlApps platform transfers the interface from the phone to the in-car infotainment touch-screen, to allow users access to popular India specific apps.

With our off-road stage set at the ‘19 Degree North’ adventure sports club in Aamby Valley, we start off early into the wilderness to make it back before darkness falls. I’m at the wheel of the Discovery Sport and the key here, in these conditions, is to venture out into such terrain, learn and also have some fun before heading back to base camp, unscathed (ideally).

Replacement for the Land Rover Freelander 2. The most affordable Land Rover. Challenger to the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3. Call it what you will. But to us, the Discovery Sport seems to be all the car you might ever need. It is good-looking in the same way the Evoque was, only this one looks like something men can drive as well. It has the space, comfort, safety and practicality to be the ideal family car. And, it has the hardware to take you above and beyond (sorry, but I just couldn’t resist). Now, the details.

The all-new Land Rover Discovery Sport hasn’t officially hit the showrooms yet; however, it has generated quite a buzz in the premium mid-size SUV segment. So much so that Land Rover has already received over 200 pre-orders for this new model before its official launch on September 2, 2015.
