Jaguar XF [2013-2016] User Reviews

I dont know how many of you heard about the Jaguar XFS overturned on the sealink on 28th Nov 2013 bearing number MH01BK100? Yes that was my car. The ESP (stbility control) did not work on a rather straight road! Me and my driver almost died. Thank god we didnt. I wrote to everyone i know in Jag india and England. They are a bunch of losers. Please please please dont buy this car. Stick to the germans. They are way better.

Then my car had to be declared as a total loss to my surprise. It took them 3 months to get my insurance back and lost my money on the EMIs that were still ticking. 

If this were to happen in USA or Europe, they would have had to pay me a huge compensation. But this is TATA motors... monkeys working there, the same guys who repair your Indicas work on the Range Rovers and the Jags... SHAME!

Sexy looksAfter sales sucks big time!

 

Exterior You can't go wrong with the looks of this low slung car.  From certain angles rivals a panamerra.  I find the front grill  a bit dull and boring compared to the XJ.  Have ordered the prancer so lets see if that helps.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front is very comfortable and soft.  Very understanded interiors.  Technology is from 2008 and a bit dated.  Definately ahead of the 2009 BMW but a little behind the XJ as well as the new 5 BMW as far as crispness and look.  Gear knob and tilting vents a lot of fun.  Touch screen can be a bit funky at times.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine super.  Feel like after burner when you floor the pedal which is very soft.  Fuel economy is decent.  Gear box is nice but first 2 gears revs are high and you can feel them change.  Once cruising lovly.

Ride Quality & Handling Nice as a drivers car.  Not a passenger or back seat car for sure.  Do not expect the floating feel of a Merc but less stiff than a BMW.

Final Words Good car and great value.  Time will tell how it does.

Areas of improvement Spruce up the tech a bit guys and BMW service is definately missed especially since JAG is meant to signify class and service, seems to be missing a bit here with Indica mentality.

Head Turning Looks, Smooth run, very good engine with PEPDated interior technology and screens, Selling prancer as after market, Service not spiffy

Guys, bought this vehicle xf-s , 3 damn years back, and mind it , it was the biggest mistake of my life.

The car was unable to complete even 15000 kms , and ran to service station for 10-12 times.

it all started with the white smog , came in morning starting the vehicle , and it was towed up from my home to garage. till then there are loads of parts being replaced in the vehicle, like catalytic converter , valves , hoses . and each time it was given to me , as if its now very well , without any issues. and to my surprise , on a day , it showed restricted performace in the middle of road and and then again sent to garage to change the transmission and other hoses . can u imagine not even run 15K , and transmission needs to be changed ????

The dealership again gave us a lollypop , and jaguar company offiicials , try to fix it all the time.

the blunder happened , when i was with my family , travelling on NH-1 , and on high speed..... suddenly the engine stopped cranking . OH GOD ......!! we were nearly saved from being dead !!

And u know whats the irony , now jaguar officials are brutally trying me to accept that vehicle , ( the same life risking vehicle ) again , by hook or by crook . 

the senior officials at the JLR ,  ARE LEASTTTT BOTHERED . THEY DIDNT EVEN CALLED ... REPLIED TO THE MAILS ..... OR TRIED TO MEET US. 

My one recommendation, PLS DONOT BUY ANYTHYING FROM JLR  !! THEIR MOTTO IS JUST TO SELL , AND MING ME , THEY WILL MAKE YOU CRY - IN AFTER SALES SERVICE.

good stylecompletely cracked down unit

I own a Jaguar Xf S model it comes with a v6 engine I purchased this car in 2013 at that time this is the best car among its competitors it has 600 nm torque and 270 horsepower so it is very good car.

Details about looks, performance etc: This was an amazing experience to drive this car. It is too comfortable to drive and features oh my god! Mind blowing.

Exterior Killing looks,styling of a sports sedan, great set of alloys and tyres, i would prefer it over the more expensive A7 and cls for the styling and power.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Very funky interior, amazing rotation AC vents and pop out gear knob. start button blinks like heart beat, nice cozy touch. interior lights are touch on and off, another amazing feature of the interior. only the music system doesnt sound as nice as the bmw and merc.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Super fast engines. diesel 600nm of torque and 275bhp superb power with great fuel efficiency. the V8 petrols give an amazing feel.

Ride Quality & Handling Handling very soft n smooth so amazing for city drive, and its super easy to drive it in the city. amazing on the highway. just drove it on new delhi-agra yamuna expressway. stable and powerful.

Final Words Amazing package for those who want to try something different from mercs and bmws. but warning for those who run away from attention, this car grabbs a lot of attention. all jaguars do.
