Full Review

Exterior Look wise good styling good

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort)

Good, spacious and comfortable for its price

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox

Engine performance Poor, Fuel economy average, Power steering very bad - very heavy and with speed gets heavier, gear box good

Ride Quality & Handling

Heavy engine drag no fun to drive it , poor pick up, Handling needs improvement

Final Words

 Hyundai Promise unfulfilled

Areas of improvement

Power steering, fuel economy, engine drag, should have music system Hyundai is selling great number of cars is but not improving fuel economy. Kappa 2 engine does nt deliver as much pick up as one would expect. Company does not give care after sales. I think there is manufacturing defect in power steering which needs to be looked into as a friend of mine also complained similarly and Hyundai officials are not accepting. I think recall all such cars and set right the steering which becomes harder as the speed goes up.

The steering will get harder after about 20kms as a safety factor. This is also mentioned in the manual though no kms is specified. This is the case in my i20 crdi. below 20 kms it is quite smooth and light. Above 20 kms speed it is a bit stiffer but quite comfortable with both hands.

Steering response is not sharp.

FE is sometimes a concern in the i10. However, pickup issues not much reported. Maybe you should inform this to the ASC and also you can confirm by doing a TD of the Demo car avialble in the dealer.
