Exterior Car Makers should Re-Think that front Indicators between front Grill & Head Lamps are very risky. Front Indicators of Most of Hyundai cars, SX4, VW Cars, Honda etc. are not visible when Headlamps are in "Full/High Beam" mode, which is very very risky. EON Looks like a miniature of i10. Front & tail lamps, side etc. all remind of typical Hyundai styling. By size, it can be compared to cars of bigger (4 Lakhs plus) segment.

Interior (Features, Space & Comfort) Front Seats are big big let down, in otherwise comfortable car. Hyundai started, Maruti & Toyota followed. Not giving adjustable Head-Rest in front seat. Short drivers can not remove Head Rest. Tall drivers can not lift up head rest. I think this is very bad cost cutting in cars. EON is otherwise more comfortable than peers.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox   The engine noise could tell, it lacks the power, given EON is the heaviest in sub 3 Lakh range. And 9 valves though may get slightly better mileage  BUT will fall too short to ALTO's 12 Valve motor. When its sprinting uphill, Santro/i10 1.1 lose to Wagon, Zen & Ritz mainly because Maruti cars have 4 breathing outlets compared to 3 in each of Hyundai cylinders. EON is 18 C.C. more than ALTO but Lesser Valves in cylinder may require frequent Gear change in traffic, climbing etc. Expect 1-2 KMPL better mileage on highways in EON over ALTO. Fuel economy Hyundai claims to be 21, but showroom fellows told in city expect 16-18. I, thus assume mileage to be about 18.

Ride Quality & Handling Its a heavy car, handling should be nice. More space should give good, comfortable rise feel in what one can get under Rs.3 Lakhs.

Final Words Good job, with few errors. Buyers have good choice among EON, Spark and Long tried & tested ALTO.

Areas of improvement As I mentioned, Front Seats should have adjustable Head Rest. 9 valve is less for probably the heaviest car in sub Rs. 3 Lakhs. And front Indicators are not visible when Head lamp is in High/Full Beam due to wrong positioning.

Hyundai knows the Best what India wantsAgain Hyundai's Cheap Cost cut has big let down in Front Seats
